Help The Foundation

The Forest Foundation

Helping The Forest Foundation is easy, whether you're making a financial contribution or interested in becoming a paid classroom facilitator or program volunteer.

Your personal or corporate gift will help continue the important projects of The Forest Foundation so that we can reach more people with factual information about the care and use of California's forest resources.

Because a significant portion of the foundation's general and administrative costs are contributed in-kind, your donation will be used to its maximum potential to directly support the program of your choice or at the discretion of the board and staff. You tell us.

To make a financial contribution to The Forest Foundation, please consider the following options:

A Century of Growing Trees A Century of Growing Trees

While supplies last, receive a beautiful new coffee-table size book that tells the story of the oldest privately owned timber company in California for a minimum donation of fifty dollars to The Forest Foundation.

Full of wonderful historic photos, personal accounts and details that track the development of the company and industry from the turn of the last century, the book provides a perspective on our state's forests that only a family so close to the land could provide. Authored by California State University History teacher Michael J. Gillis, the book offers an engaging narrative and photos that follow the Soper and Wheeler families from the Northeast to California, where they purchased 14,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada in 1904 and now manage nearly 100,000 acres.

Through a generous donation by Soper-Wheeler, book proceeds directly benefit The Forest Foundation. Please call 1-866-241-TREE (8733) today to order you copy and support The Forest Foundation. Reminder: donations to The Forest Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, are tax deductible.
