Visual Forester Technical Support

Since Visual Forester in the Classroom is new, we expect that there will be some compatability issues. We plan on addressing these here as we prepare for the next release.

Operating System Questions

VFIC was designed for computers running Mirosoft Windows versions 2000 or later. VFIC may operate on some systems running Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition (ME) but there is no technical support that we can offer. VFIC does not run on a Macintosh system.

Issue #1

This error window displays when two or more copies of VFIC are running at the same time. To correct this, first click on the "No" button in this window and when the next window comes up, click the "Cancel" button. You can then check in the taskbar to see if another version is already running.

Issue #2

Unfortunately, this is an error related to the Windows operating system and is not caused specifically by VFIC. There is no specific action that causes this error, but it will not cause any damage to your simulation. Clicking the "OK" button exits the program. Just restart VFIC and continue where you left off..

Issue #3

Visual Forester requires a minimun screen resolution of 1024 X 768. You can adjust these settings in windows using the "display settings" tool.
